 Fonts

Gentium Plus Porsonic Typeface (Gentium release 6.200) - a customised version of Gentium Plus with Porsonic circumflexes instead of the standard ~ type which I find rather ugly.

Alexandrinus Typeface - includes the Regular and Bold fonts the beginnings of a customised version of Gentium Plus Porsonic with some additional characters released under the same SIL Open Font License. The Italic font will follow in a future update.

Swete LXX

These are simply formatted DOCX files. The font used in the document is given as 'document (font)' because you may need to download one. They are all easily available open fonts that don't require purchase.

Swete LXX (SBL Greek) - No Apocrypha

Swete LXX (Gentium Plus Porsonic) - All Canonical and Apocryphal books

Codex Alexandrinus

The GNT of Codex Alexandrinus is largely complete with variations from the major families (CT, Byz, TR etc) marked with styles. The left column has no tonos and has Nomina Sacra marked, the right column is a full poloytonic Greek text.

You will need the Alexandrinus typeface to view this properly.

The goal is to create a useable LXX and a GNT combining the text of Codex Π (Petropolitanus or GA 041) in Matthew filling in the missing portion of chapter 1:1 to 25:6 and Codex Κ (Cyprius or GA 017) filling in where 041 has lacuna (Mt 3:12-4:17 and 19:12-20:2). If I can find a manuscript that closely matches 02 in 2 Cor 4:13-12:6, that will fill in the gap in that location. Then I hope to make an apparatus noting variants from Family Π and the major GNT families.

The Septuagint is very much a work in progress as I make an entirely fresh transcription of the Septuagint of 02. This is not a revision of editions such as Grabe's critical edition of Alexandrinus published between 1730 and 1732. It is an entirely new transcript typed out from high resolution photos available from Archive org. I do refer to Grabe's edition when the photographs I have are not clear enough to read and use apparatus of Grabe, Swete and other editions available to self-check and mark variants. The list below will expand as I complete books and make them available.

Scripture Journals

The following PDFs are designed to be used on devices with pens such as iPads, Surface tablets and even PCs with a graphics tablet using your favourite annotation app. The focus at present will be on the portrait layout with the landscape to follow later. When the entire NT is done I will (God willing) make a single combined version. I hope also to make journals for the Septuagint also ordered from easiest to hardest as determined by Dr William A. Ross and Dr Gregory Lanier.

The books of the GNT are ordered from easiest to hardest according to the teaching method of Dr Darryl Burling of the Biblical Mastery Academy.

If you prefer pen and paper and do not use A4 paper, they should be printable in US Letter as the sizes are very similar. Most PDF readers should be able to reformat them easily.

Note: the numbers and pilcrow characters (¶) at the beginning of paragraphs are section markings used by Tregelles in his GNT. These seem to correspond to the section markings found in Codex Vaticanus.

NEW: I've started working on LXX Journals. The text used is that of H.B. Swete which is in the public domain now. Obviously this does not include information from more recently discovered manuscripts such as those found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. But it is not greatly different from the alternatives such as the Ralphs or Ralhfs-Hanhart text. I have begun with the 12 minor prophets and will add others as I go.

The order of text is that found in Swete's volumes and I've numbered the PDFs as such. Likewise, I've numbered the GNT journals to reflect the traditional GNT ordering as found in older manuscripts and older modern Greek New Testaments such as that of Tregelles.
